IBM delivers hybrid cloud and AI software that helps enterprises run AI on their own terms. From IBM Sovereign Core and IBM Cloud to watsonx Orchestrate and the open-weight IBM Granite models, IBM's portfolio is built for regulated industries that need control over where their data and AI workloads run. Intel and IBM are collaborating to provide optimized, sovereign enterprise solutions on Intel® Xeon® 6 processors to deploy and scale AI inference and agentic AI.
As agentic AI moves into production, enterprises must know where their data is processed and who can access it. IBM Sovereign Core provides the governance layer for identity, secrets management, compliance and AI governance, keeping control inside the customer's own boundary. With Intel® Trust Domain Extensions (Intel® TDX), IBM and Intel are advancing a validated deployment pattern that adds hardware-enforced isolation and attestation to that control. On Xeon 6, Intel TDX runs workloads in isolated virtual machines called trust domains, whose protected private memory isolates workload data from the host operating system and privileged infrastructure software. Red Hat® OpenShift® deploys and manages these confidential workloads, and attestation provides cryptographic evidence about the environment, so policies can verify it before sensitive data is released. The pattern initially focuses on two scenarios: protecting secrets such as credentials, certificates, service-account tokens and encryption keys, and protecting AI inference, including model data, prompts, retrieved context, intermediate application data and outputs.
Inside that boundary, watsonx Orchestrate coordinates teams of agents, Granite models handle the routine work, and Xeon 6 runs the orchestration, the models and the agents' tools, keeping the GPU focused on the reasoning that needs it. These contributions shift the focus from infrastructure and compliance setup to use case development, reducing the time-to-value of sovereign agentic AI.
